World-renowned custom vehicle builders, Osprey Custom 4x4 in Castle Hayne, North Carolina, are delighted to present our latest bespoke-built creation — a rugged and refined Corris Gray Soft Top – thoughtfully melding legendary motoring heritage with modern craftsmanship and technology.

 

Starting with a new, hot-dipped galvanized chassis, this well-executed build was completed by our talented team of Master Craftsmen in August 2022. The revered 6.2L Corvette LS3 V8 provides the forward motivation, while the precise-shifting 6L80E 6-speed automatic transmission with Camaro-style gear selector with LED gear indicator mated to a heavy-duty, center differential lock-equipped LT230 transfer case distributes constant power to all four wheels, ensuring as much of the abundant 435+ horsepower and stunning 445+ pound-feet of torque make it to the ground as possible. Powerful disc brakes at all four corners ensure stops are quiet, safe, quick, and efficient.

 

The upgraded, heavy-duty front and rear axles are located by slightly-taller-than-stock Terrafirma® Pro Sport springs, along with heavy-duty Terrafirma® shocks, Terrafirma® caster-corrected front and cranked rear radius arms, track rod, drag link, and Terrafirma® steering damper, all protected by a heavy-duty aluminum front skidplate. It rides on 285/75R16 Atturo® Trail Blade® A/T tires wrapped around sturdy, gloss black 16-inch “Freestyle” alloy wheels.

 

The body, finished in stately Corris Gray Metallic with matching wheel arches and trim, was carefully mated to the chassis once back from our in-house body and paint shop. The gloss black powder-coated 4-point roll cage protects precious human cargo and the tight-fitting black soft top with roll-up/zip-out rear windows keeps the elements at bay when needed, and can be easily removed when that wind-in-your-hair feeling is on tap. LED-illuminated, black anodized aluminum exterior door handles, and black anodized aluminum door, bonnet, and windscreen hinges complement the overall color scheme, as the front end was updated with a gloss black premium grille with wire-mesh insert, and gloss black light surrounds, side intake, and forced-air wing top vents. The front bumper is home to twin LED running lamps, while the tubular rear step bumper accommodates the rearview camera, a 2" hitch receiver, jacking/recovery points, and trailer wiring harness. A heavy-duty, swing-away rear tire carrier neatly finishes the tail end.

 

Gloss black, powder-coated, Masai® tubular side steps assist with ingress and egress to the passenger cabin where you’ll find a modern-style dash that provides excellent heating and air conditioning, ensuring the occupants are comfortable year-round. The durable interior is complete with Exmoor Trim® Black Rack & ½ Leather upholstered heated front sport seats, and the four side-facing, stowable rear seats with matching upholstery provide the ultimate in flexibility — seating for additional friends and family or true utilitarian cargo space. Heavy-duty rubber floor mats protect the front footwells and rear cargo area, and the leather-wrapped center console houses a deep storage cubby, as well as a wireless fast-charging pad for mobile devices, USB charging points, and two oversized aluminum cup holders. For those extra-frosty mornings, the front windscreen is also heated.

State-of-the-art infotainment is provided by an Atoto® S8 Android-based 7” capacitive HD touch-screen head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto®, dual Bluetooth®, built-in Digital Signal Processor, and GPS navigation, nestled in a satin black center fascia and complemented by a rockin’ Rockford Fosgate® 8-speaker array and an 8” Rockford Fosgate® Punch® subwoofer coupled to a Kenwood® eXcelon® 5-channel, 1600 watt amplifier. The front windows are power-operated, and the Viper® keyless entry and remote starting provide security and convenience.
