Installing the Signature Autosports Off-Road Gear bolt-on bull-bar on your Ineos® Grenadier® is a great way to enhance your vehicle's protection and add functional style. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you with the installation:
Tools and Materials Needed
• Socket set (ratchet and various sockets)
• Wrench set
• Torque wrench
• Allen wrenches (if needed for specific bolts)
• Lubricant (optional, for easier bolt insertion)
• Cleaning cloth
• Safety glasses and gloves
Installation Steps
1. Preparation:
• Park your Ineos® Grenadier® on a flat surface and engage the parking brake.
• Lay out all the components of the bull-bar and the provided hardware. Check for any missing parts.
2. Remove the existing plastics:
• Begin by unclipping the two front plastic covers on the front bumper. Behind these covers are (4) four factory bolts under each cover. Remove the bolts, as you will be using the longer, provided M10 bolts to take their place.
3. Position the Bull-Bar:
• With the help of a friend, position the bull-bar on the bumper of the vehicle, aligning the mounting holes: There are (8) eight mounting holes facing forward, (4) four per side, then (4) four smaller mounting holes on the top of the bumper, (2) two per side, and (4) four smaller mounting holes on the underside of the new covers, (2) two per cover. Ensure that the bull-bar is level and correctly positioned.

4. Attach the Bull-Bar:
• Start by inserting the provided bolts through the forward-facing mounting holes and into the mounting points on the vehicle.
• Hand-tighten the bolts to hold the sliders in place. Do not fully tighten them yet, as you may need to adjust the position.
• After tightening the (8) eight M10, forward mounting bolts, put on the covers and install (2) stainless steel M6 bolts to hold the covers in place on top, (1) per cover on top. Then install (2) two stainless steel bolts per cover underneath to hold in each cover from the bottom.
• You can then install the (2) remaining zinc M6 bolts, (1) per side on top, into the remaining mounting points on the top of the bumper.
Provided Hardware used per mounting location:
• Front Mounting Points: (8) M10x1.5 - 40mm Bolts paired with (8) M10 Washers - (4) bolts per side
• Top Mounting Points: (2) M6x1.0 - 25mm Zinc Bolts paired with (2) Washers - (1) bolt per side
• Cover Top Mounting Points: (2) M6x1.0 - 25mm Stainless Steel Bolts paired with (2) Washers - (1) bolt per cover
• Cover Underside Mounting Points: (4) M6x1.0 - 25mm Stainless Steel Bolts paired with (6) Washers - (2) bolts per cover
5. Check Alignment:
• Step back and check that the rock sliders are aligned properly and level.
• Make any necessary adjustments before tightening.
6. Tighten the Bolts:
• Using the torque wrench, tighten all the bolts to the manufacturer’s specified torque settings. If you don't have a specific torque setting, snug the bolts without over-tightening.
• Tighten in a crisscross pattern to distribute the pressure evenly.
7. Final Inspection:
• Once all bolts are tightened, inspect the installation for any movement or misalignment.
Ensure that all tools and materials are removed from the work area.
8. Test:
• Gently test the sliders by applying some weight to ensure they are securely installed.
Maintenance Tips
• Periodically check the tightness of the bolts after installation, especially after off-road use.
• Clean the rock sliders regularly to prevent rust and maintain appearance.
You’re now ready to hit the trails with your newly installed rock sliders! If you encounter any issues during installation, refer to the manufacturer’s instructions or consult a professional. Now go outside and enjoy your adventures!
